I have experience in learning support as well as inclusion support as a role in the school system. P - 10 | 1:1 Highly Personalised
Your child will feel relaxed and happy as they learn foundational literacy/numeracy skills. Your child's lessons are highly personalised to his/her needs. Small breaks are woven in as needed. Your child feels successes each week. Parents/caregivers remain at the lessons. Carmel is a veteran teacher who loves seeing kids feel successful and happy as they make progress. For those who enjoy dogs, we have Roughy the Therapy dog who can support learners.

Yr P-6 | Small groups and 1:1 | Primary
Programs are highly effective for, but not limited to, children with dyslexia, dysgraphia, and speech and language disorders. Ideal for Speld members and children with provisional diagnosis. Tailored programs use direct, explicit teaching to address specific needs and improve learning outcomes, especially when whole-class methods haven't been effective. Sessions are held in a home studio in Carina before, during and after school hours.




With teaching and Special Education qualifications, Sally has been a classroom and Learning Support teacher in Secondary and Primary settings for more than 25 years. She provides individual tutoring for academic gaps and Specific Learning Disorder. Some children come to us with a formal diagnosis, such as Dyslexia, Dysgraphia, Dyscalculia or ADHD, others just with a referral from a parent or teacher as a result of falling behind their peers. All our tutoring programs start with accurate screening for exactly what a student does and does not know; what they can and cannot do.

MPLA's approach is evidence based and multi-sensory which systematically teaches children to read and spell. It is differentiated, child focused, and play based supporting all neurological differences. I’ve provided specialist literacy and numeracy intervention to SPELD QLD members for over 12 years. I support students (P-12), & homeschooling families, with learning difficulties, DLD, autism and ADHD. My child-centred approach uses structured, evidence-based instruction that is personalised to individual needs with engaging, hands-on activities to build literacy, numeracy, confidence, and reduce learning anxiety while working collaboratively with families. I have been practicing for 40 years and have a Masters Educational Support and Ba (Hons) Graphic Design. I build the foundation skills for successful progression and work closely with parents and other professionals. I have written a specific program for dyscalculia. My lessons focus on building up language concepts and Mathematical concepts rather than using a rote learning technique. I use multi-sensory materials and repetition in different forms to ensure transferal of information to the long term memory.
