School Consultancy

The Speld QLD trainers provide a consultation service to QLD schools. We work with school leaders, classroom teachers and support staff to help with the implementation of evidence-based strategies and literacy programs, ensuring the best possible learning outcomes for all students.

The topics we consult on include:

Training refreshers
Examine placement test data
Action planning for classroom instruction
Whole school implementation advice
Supporting individual student needs
Advice on communicating with parents about the change in instructional methods for teaching reading and spelling
Explicit guidance for phonics and morphology instruction - including lesson observations and feedback

This could be consults with:

Individual teachers
Year level teams
Leadership groups
Staff meeting presentations
Teacher aide/School Officer information and support sessions.
