Description
It is widely recognised that early intervention can support students with reading and writing difficulties. It can be challenging for families to decide what support is needed and when. This group is for families with children from pre-kindy to year 3. It will cover:
- The importance of language in the early years
- Phonological/ phonemic awareness – what is it and how can practise be supported at home
- The introduction of phonics (letters and sounds)
- Understanding learning difficulties to offer timely and targeted support.
