Open Book Tutoring provides specialist literacy intervention and personalised learning support for students who require instruction beyond the traditional classroom setting. We work with children and adolescents who need targeted, explicit teaching to bridge learning gaps and build the foundational skills required for confident reading, writing and spelling.

Our approach is grounded in the Science of Reading and informed by evidence-based literacy instruction. Using structured, systematic methods, we help students develop critical skills such as phonemic awareness, decoding, spelling, and reading comprehension. Lessons are carefully tailored to the individual needs of each learner, ensuring that instruction meets them exactly where they are in their learning journey.

Open Book Tutoring supports a wide range of students, including those with specific learning difficulties, neurodiverse learners, and children who simply need additional time and explicit instruction to consolidate essential literacy skills.

Our goal is not just academic improvement, but to help students develop the functional literacy skills and confidence they need to participate successfully in school and everyday life. By providing targeted intervention in a supportive environment, we empower students to become capable, independent learners.

At Open Book Tutoring, we believe that with the right instruction, every child can learn to read and succeed.
