UFLI Foundations is an explicit and systematic program that teaches students the foundational skills necessary for proficient reading.

It follows a carefully developed scope and sequence, designed to ensure that students systematically acquire each skill needed and learn to apply each skill with automaticity and confidence.

The program is designed to be used for core instruction in the primary grades or for intervention with struggling students in any grade.

This one day course will:

• provide an overview of this evidence based, highly effective program;
• guide participants through an in-depth exploration of each lesson step;
• share recommendations for progress monitoring and differentiation.

The manual is full of detailed, easy-to-follow lesson plans that include everything you need to implement each and every step. It includes:

• Essential background knowledge for teachers
• 148 lesson plans (10 “Getting Ready” lessons, 128 concept lessons, and 10 review lessons)
• A  detailed description of each step and how to implement it
• Concept-based spelling assessments to use for progress monitoring

How to register:

1. Online: Register to book and pay online. (Instant confirmation but please allow 2 business days for your Tax Invoice to be emailed).
2. Phone: Call our office during business hours (8.30am-3.30pm) to register and pay over the phone.

Important Notes

1.Payment is required at the time of booking to confirm your registration and is non-refundable.
2. Changes requested within 6 days of start date are not able to be made, as course details are confirmed with venue/trainer.
3. If you are unable to attend, you may:
3.a. Opt for a Credit Note for a future course. 14 days notice is required.
3.b. Transfer your ticket to another person. 7 days notice required.
4. Speld Qld reserves the right to cancel or reschedule an event if minimum numbers (as determined by us) are not met, or if the presenter is unable to attend. You may choose to transfer to the new event, send another attendee in your place or receive a refund.
