As a literacy specialist, I use the Sounds-Write program with my students. I am also currently undertaking postgraduate study in speech pathology, strengthening my understanding of the connection between speech, language, and literacy. Our focused learning sessions provide neuro-affirming, strengths-based teaching that considers the whole child, not just their academic skills. Sessions are responsive to each child’s strengths, interests, learning profile and individual needs, creating a safe and supportive space where children can experience success, build confidence and rediscover enjoyment in learning.

I offer one to one Specialist literacy and numeracy interventions for students with Dyslexia and Dyscalculia. I specialise in developing reading, spelling, comprehension and writing skills.

Kylie’s experience raising her own neurodiverse children has deepened her understanding of diverse learners. With a Psychology degree, she has experience as a behavioural therapist and worked in schools before becoming a Specialist Teacher. She delivers evidence-based, multisensory phonics instruction and has eight years of experience teaching literacy, including comprehension, writing, and grammar. Kylie specialises in neurodivergent learners and is committed to providing individualised support to help each child build skills, confidence, and reach their full potential.



Prep to Yr 7 | Literacy
I provide personalised literacy tutoring and specialist intervention for children who need extra support with reading, spelling and writing. Using evidence-based approaches, including UFLI Foundations, I provide explicit, systematic instruction tailored to each child’s individual learning needs. My goal is to help children strengthen their foundational literacy skills, build confidence and experience success in their learning. Sessions are supportive, engaging and focused on helping each child make meaningful progress. I work closely with families and provide ongoing feedback about progress.

I have been practicing for 40 years and have a Masters Educational Support and Ba (Hons) Graphic Design. I build the foundation skills for successful progression and work closely with parents and other professionals. I have written a specific program for dyscalculia. My lessons focus on building up language concepts and Mathematical concepts rather than using a rote learning technique. I use multi-sensory materials and repetition in different forms to ensure transferal of information to the long term memory.

I support students (P-12), & homeschooling families, with learning difficulties, DLD, autism and ADHD. My child-centred approach uses structured, evidence-based instruction that is personalised to individual needs with engaging, hands-on activities to build literacy, numeracy, confidence, and reduce learning anxiety while working collaboratively with families.
