At Curious Minds Collective, we help children build confidence and enjoy learning through engaging, evidence-based small group sessions. We specialise in literacy, numeracy and school readiness, using structured, hands-on approaches that support all learners, including children with dyslexia and dyscalculia. Prep - Yr 12 | Intervention | Wellbeing
Emma is a qualified and registered teacher with a Bachelor of Education. She is trained in Orton- Gillingham Multisensory Structured Literacy, PLD Literacy and Maths Australia's Total Maths Mastery program. Emma specialises in supporting students with dyslexia, dyscalculia, ADHD and ASD using evidence-based, individualised teaching approaches that build skills, confidence and independence so each student can reach their full potential.

Yr 2-7 | NDIS | Mobile
Minds On Education provides personalised literacy and numeracy support in a warm, friendly, and supportive learning environment. The service takes a neuroaffirming approach, recognising and valuing each child’s unique strengths, needs, and ways of learning. Teaching is tailored to the individual, with lessons designed to build confidence, reduce anxiety around learning, and support progress in reading, spelling, writing, and mathematics. Minds On Education works closely with children and families to create a positive, encouraging learning experience where every child can feel capable, understood, and successful.


P- Year 7
I offer one to one Specialist literacy and numeracy interventions for students with Dyslexia and Dyscalculia. I specialise in developing reading, spelling, comprehension and writing skills.

P - Yr 8 Literacy | Special interests ASD, ADHD
Kylie’s experience raising her own neurodiverse children has deepened her understanding of diverse learners. With a Psychology degree, she has experience as a behavioural therapist and worked in schools before becoming a Specialist Teacher. She delivers evidence-based, multisensory phonics instruction and has eight years of experience teaching literacy, including comprehension, writing, and grammar. Kylie specialises in neurodivergent learners and is committed to providing individualised support to help each child build skills, confidence, and reach their full potential.

Prep–Year 10 Literacy
Heidi is a Literacy Intervention Specialist working with students from Prep to Year 10. She has extensive experience supporting learners with dyslexia, dysgraphia, and related learning challenges. Her approach is calm, structured, and strengths‑focused, helping students build confidence and independence. Heidi also provides high‑school study skills and flexible online support.

Yr P-12 | Experienced Specialist | Special Interest in Autism | Play Based Therapy
I’ve provided specialist literacy and numeracy intervention to SPELD QLD members for over 12 years. I support students (P-12), & homeschooling families, with learning difficulties, DLD, autism and ADHD. My child-centred approach uses structured, evidence-based instruction that is personalised to individual needs with engaging, hands-on activities to build literacy, numeracy, confidence, and reduce learning anxiety while working collaboratively with families. In my work you will see explicit teaching, hands on materials, games, puppets, movement and interactive learning experiences.



P- Yr 3 | Small groups and 1:1 | Early Years Literacy
Danielle Steendam, Director of Literacy Advance offers individualised, specialist literacy instruction (online and face-to-face) to students in the foundational years of formal learning (5-8 years old). Experienced in working with students who have dyslexia, dysgraphia, ADHD and ASD, Danielle is an accredited MSL Specialist Educator (AMADA) and a registered Early Years Teacher. She has completed LETRS (Language Essentials for Teachers of Reading and Spelling); Yoshimoto O-G training; and postgraduate studies at ECU in literacy learning difficulties. Prep to adult
Originally a clinical psychologist (NZ) I have been assessing and teaching children and adults with learning difficulties, especially dyslexia, ASD, ADHD etc. for over 30 years, as well as ESL youngsters. Every person is different and an individual program, working on the needs of that specific child or adult, is developed from a full, written report.

Welcome to Write of Passage, an evidence-based tutoring service designed to support children experiencing literacy difficulties. As a literacy specialist, I am able to identify the foundational causes of literacy challenges to deliver targeted, evidence-based instruction that supports students’ individual learning goals. Write of Passage utilises Sounds-Write and Word Origins for their evidence-based design and proven success in supporting children experiencing dyslexia and other learning difficulties. Instruction is carefully tailored to each individual to provide the most appropriate and effective intervention.

Sammy is currently undertaking a Doctorate of Education, exploring a pilot program for coaching and mentoring teachers in evidence-based literacy instruction. She holds a Master of Education (Reading and Literacy), a Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood), and is a graduate of the Institute for Multi-Sensory Structured Language Education (IMSLE). Through The Reading Priority, Sammy provides evidence-based literacy assessment, intervention, and teacher support, delivering explicit, systematic, multisensory instruction to help children develop confident, capable reading, spelling, writing, and language skills.

1:1 | Primary and low level literacy older learners
A structured and explicit approach to the teaching of reading (including comprehension) and writing (including spelling) is used in one-to-one sessions focussing on phonemic and phonological awareness, letter-sound correspondence, blending and segmenting for fluent reading, reading comprehension, spelling and writing.

Offering in-home support for primary school aged children, building and consolidating essential Literacy skills. With 10+ years of experience supporting children in Schools, I cater to individual learning styles and needs, and work with families to build student confidence. I am trained in several Synthetic Phonics Programs (UFLI, Sounds-Write and MiniLit) and can also provide support with numeracy skill development.
